I’m the kind of person who can’t go out of the house without my camera. I simply take pictures around the city whenever I’m out and about the city of smiles (now the city of the world). For me to organize my pictures, i used the magic of photoshop and made a poster out of it. This time, i will feature all of my creations and i hope you will like it. Its simply about Bacolod and its oozing beauty. Here we go….

Its wonderful to be one of the chosen few to be invited in the opening of Starbucks Bacolod. I was so excited when my sister told me that she will bring me along with her. So i really prepared myself for this event. This is history and I’m part of it. Prominent people were there. Topping the list is Mr. Ed Lopez- the President of Rustans Coffee Corp, Mr. Butch Lopez, Starbucks staff from manila and the Governor. Its nice to know that Mr. Ed Lopez is so happy that he even said that ” It makes him proud that starbucks is finally in his hometown, Bacolod”. Tomorrow, December 9, 2008, they will open their doors to the public. They will open at 6am until 12 midnight. See you there tomorrow…enjoy Bacolod!!! you deserve starbucks.

The long wait is over. Starbucks Bacolod will open its first branch in Western Visayas on December 9, 2008. This is truly an indication that Bacolod is getting ready for something big. Aside from starbucks, rumors like krispy kreme and TGI Fridays will soon invade Bacolod. Whew!!! this is truly amazing. So guys!!! Mark your calendars and see you on December 9 as we witness the opening of the newest and most awaited FIRST STARBUCKS COFFEE in the REGION.

Another commercial complex will soon open at shopping center in Bacolod City. Terra Dolce will soon be a new addition to the shopping destination in the city of smiles. its a two storey mall with 40 doors and this will cater to some boutiques, clinics, restos and bookstores. And according to some rumors, TGI Fridays will occupy in one of the slots in terra dolce. This is really something to look forward to.

It took me sometime to update this Blog. I’ve been away for a week due to some important tasks. But now I’m back and I’ve got something to show you that most of you doesnt know it exists. Forest Park is one of Bacolod’s little secrets. It is located in Taculing Subdivision, just a few meters away from Bacolod Adventist Hospital. This park offers amenities like boating, cottages for picnics and mini zoo. Its a wonderful place for group bonding and parties as well. The place is accessible. just one ride from downtown Bacolod and a few meters walk to the entrance. You will surely be awed by the greeneries and the fresh atmosphere. Its a place worth your while.

All systems go for the biggest billiards event in the City of Bacolod, the the fifth leg of the First Senate president Manny Villar Cup dubbed Bacolod International Villards Festival. The event will be held on November 12-16 at the Garden Royale Function Hall, Goldenfields Commercial Complex.
Billiard enthusistas will have a field day as Pinoy and international billiard players are expected to compete for the prestigious tournament. Lined up for the event are Efren “Bata” Reyes, Francisco Bustamante, Alex Pagulayan, Dennis Orcollo, Roberto Gomez, Ronnie Alcano, Gandy Valle, Carlo Biado, Warren Kiamco, Lee Vann Corteza, Wu Chia Ching, Chang Jung Lin, Wang Hung Hsiang, Fu Juan Bo, Marcus Chamat, Ricky Zerna (the pride of Mabinay) and our very own veteran internationalist, Ramil Gallego.
A total of $37,000 in prize money awaits the top finishers of the event with $15,000 going to the champion; $5,000 to the second placer; $2,500 to the 3rd and 4th placers; $1,000 to the 5th to 8th placers; $500 to the 9th to 16th placers; and $300 to the 17th to 32nd placers. National Amateur Players from all over the Philippines will also be vying for the cup prize of Php 250,000.00.
Nightly concerts and street parties will simultaneously be held during the duration of the 5-day tournament which will kick off with a motorcade along the city’s major streets on November 12.
The Philippines has some of the greates billiard players in the world. In fact, billiards is already a favorite past time among the youths and there are those who are just waiting for the right moment to be discovered. With the staging of the event, the organizers are hoping to produce more Pinoy billiards champion.

Bacolod skies will be illuminated once more as the pyromagic festival returns. Due to the outstanding outcome of the first pyromagic festival held last December 2007, Bacolod will have it again this year. This event will take place on December at SM City Bacolod grounds. Along with this festival is a midnight sale of SM City Bacolod. It will be a nice treat for the people of Bacolod to witness again an amazing event days before christmas. Its a festival you surely don’t want to miss, the fireworks display is simply wonderful, very colorful and all you can do is to look up in the sky and say wow!!!.
